Round of Golf

Another boss, another birthday!

This boss is really into his Golf and I had the perfect image from Just inked.

The image is coloured using promarkers and I used some grungy papers for the background. A few buttons on the corner and liquid pearls in the opposite corner.

British Mini

This is a card I made for my bosses birthday. I was at a loss as to what to make and then suddenly remembered that I still had some of the Jewel Britannia pack left so out it came and I made him a Best of British card.

For a reasonably quick card, everyone at work thought it was fab!

Bond, James Bond

Papercraft Inspirations had some fab Bond Style digis for free and they were perfect for Step Sons birthday card.
I dont know how I got the heat embossing so shiny or how I got the liquid pearls to go sort of oval instead of circle but I am pleased with the effect!

Cards for my Dad

I think this was made for my dad for Fathers day (told you I was behind!)
I have used the Gorgeous Wellington range for this one and made it as a stepper card, although you can't really see that in the image.
I cut out the letters for Dad in copper glitter card and used Glossy Accent on them.

OH birthday card from my mum

My mum asked me to make OH a birthday card from her and he is very into the Britannia thing.

The backing paper is from Portobello Road collection, as is the Union Jack.

The car (sorry about it being the wrong way round!) is from one of the MCS discs and it is layered on a background from the same disc. I hand wrote OH's initials and age on the licence plate.

Added a sentiment using the same backing I used on the card, but only used part of it.

A few buttons made with Portobello Road papers, circle punch and glossy accent.

Cow Girl

We have a friends birthdya shortly and he is a bit cheeky so a Kenny K image seemed perfect for him.

She is hand coloured with promarkers and I used the blending pen to add some highlights. The backing papers are part of a huge pack I brought some time ago, minds eye I think they are called!

18th birthday card

Another commissioned card and the brief was "mad scientist"

Image was found on the internet by the customer and I layered onto textured paper then card.

The backing paper is part of a set I have had for ages.

Stamped 18 on a circle and then used xcut nesting die to mat it.

Buttons made using textured paper and glossy accents.

Commissioned Nephew card

Commissioned card for a friend and the only brief was sporty so went for a La Pashe Framin card.

Letter cut out using xcut alphabet die and then used glitter glue over the frame and lettering.

Commissioned Police Card

Received an order for a police card and the image was supplied by the customer.

Chose "simpsons-y" backing papers for the images and had matching blue card for the matting and layering.
Lettering was cut out using XCut alphabet dies in the matching blue card.
Buttons created using the matching blue card and glossy accents and used a ribbon in blue too.

Commissioned car card

Another commissioned card. This time for a car.

Image is decoupage image from La Pashe that I have had laying around for a while.

I used backing papers brought as part of a pack and matted the image on some textured paper from hobbycraft that was left over from another card.

The sentiment is from La Pashe Remember card sheet.

And the happy birthday sentiment is a peel off coloured bronze with acetate pens and the scalloped circles are cut with xcut nesting dies.

And more home made buttons cut from scraps!

Best Dad Ever!

Commissioned card for my best friends Dads birthday.

Digi stamp is from bugaboo and coloured with promarkers,

I made some buttons using glossy accents again!

Sentiment is from Forever Friends set and cut using xcut nesting die

And I even decorated the inside!

Biker chick

Tomorrow is my OH's twins birthday and I got OH to chose an image. They are both learning to ride motorbikes at the moment so he immediately chose this Kenny K image for one of them.

I have used promarkers to colour the image and used greys (mainly cool grey 5 but with cool grey 3 for for the highlighted areas) for her outfit and the tyres. I used cool grey 2 for the metal on the bike to try and give it a chrome look. I used glossy accents on the bike to make it all shiny!

I embossed the panels and stuck on some ribbon.

And created some little buttons!

The main backing paper is a freebie from a fab site http://www.computerscrapbook.com/epapersets.html# They have so many gorgeous papers and they are all free! Every crafters favourite word.

Best of British

I have had some Union Jack ribbon for absolutely ages and finally got round to using it (started to use quite a few bits of my old stash lately. How odd!).

Of course, going for a British theme, had to use a mini! Wanted to go for red white and blue backing paper but the ones I had were all a bit American so went for plaid (Burberry anyone?).

Made a couple of little buttons for the corners.

Birthday Bath

Made this card with someone in mind but changed my mind and have made them another card! Anyway, have had this Flippin Men decoupage sheet made up for ages and finally got round to using it.

Took my several goes to cut of the oval correctly, as well as cutting the backing papers correctly!

I used some left over paper that I had from a card I made a few weeks ago and some other left overs for the sentiments.

The inside of the card:

Blue Eyed Boy

Think this little boy is very cute! I made this card with someone in mind but didn't give him this card in the end (gave him a better one of course!)

Steampunk Birthday card

Seems like Steampunk is going to be the next thing in card making and I wanted to get in on the action! I love the whole genre, I find there is something very slightly disturbing about it. I think that comes from the films and games (mystery case files, sherlock holmes etc) in the steampunk genre with a sinister edge!

Anyway, couldn't wait to try out a steampunk card so when Kenny K brought out their Steampunk Burlesque images I had to give it a go!
The image is Scarlett West from Kenny K and she is coloured with promarkers.

The papers are from Hobbycraft (and where is all there steampunk stuff??? Spent a good hour trawling the place yesterday!).

I brought the clock face and cogs from the jewellery section in Hobbycraft and used a Tim Holtz mask to create the compass.

I used some of the left over paper to create the corners and used my layered arches martha stewart punch on them.
