Commissioned car card

Another commissioned card. This time for a car.

Image is decoupage image from La Pashe that I have had laying around for a while.

I used backing papers brought as part of a pack and matted the image on some textured paper from hobbycraft that was left over from another card.

The sentiment is from La Pashe Remember card sheet.

And the happy birthday sentiment is a peel off coloured bronze with acetate pens and the scalloped circles are cut with xcut nesting dies.

And more home made buttons cut from scraps!

Best Dad Ever!

Commissioned card for my best friends Dads birthday.

Digi stamp is from bugaboo and coloured with promarkers,

I made some buttons using glossy accents again!

Sentiment is from Forever Friends set and cut using xcut nesting die

And I even decorated the inside!

Lotus Tea

Another feminine card made in baby blue and pink. I love that colour combination and I think it works so well.

Image is a copyright free image and mounted it on blue mirror board and blue glitter paper. I lightly glittled the flower in the cup (I think it's a lotus!) with white glitter.

I used my layered arches Martha Stewart punch to create a border and created the button using pink glitter paper.

I layered up 2 ribbons along the bottom and used peels off for the sentiment.

Blustery Day and giant spiders!

Well it got very windy down in Portsmouth on Tuesday. So windy, the poor tree out the back of my office blew down!

Luckily no property was damaged.

Anyway, on to spiders! Happily (or not so happily) got up for work this morning. Walked into the bathroom and I swear one of Aragogs offspring was sitting in my bath (Aragog is is the giant spider from Harry Potter). Not Aragon as one colleague thought I said. Those screams would have been a whole different type!

Seriously, this spider was HUMONGOUS! It's body was about 2 / 2.5 inches long and it had these great big long legs, about 4 inches long at the front. OH had already left for work so there was just poor old me and Giant Evil Spider in the house and I swear I heard him growling at me. You tell he was a nasty type as he had already been in fight and lost a leg!

Normally a spider in the bath gets a lovely hot shower and flushed down the plughole, followed by a white water rapid ride from the tap being run on full for about 10 minutes to make sure it doesn't climb back up. But there was no way this monster was fitting down that plughole! I had to squeeze myself between the toilet and the sink on the other side of the bathroom to keep away from the evil creature.

Now we all know that normally spiders can't climb out of the bath so I thought I would leave him there for OH to deal with when he got home. So get home from work and go to check on it and it has gone! I really hope he climbed out of the bathroom window. I have checked the bed already to make sure he is not there (but will double check later, you can be sure of that).

And THEN, to add insult to injury, went out to the hall way and his little brother tried to ram raid my foot!. OH was home so it went for a flying lesson out of the front door!

Afternoon Tea

I have made a lot of masculine cards lately and wanted to make a really girly one. Was searching through copyright free images on the net and found a gorgeous image of afternoon tea which seemed perfect for a very feminine card.

I created a 6 x6 gatefold card and VERY carefully lined up the backing paper (from the sweet owl collection).

The image was backed onto pink mirror board and then pink glitter paper. The image is misty so bad photography is not to blame here!

I made a little pink bow and stuck in over 3 strands of wired pearls (brought from the jewellery section).

Stuck on 3 sticky pearls in the corner and you can just about see the glitter in the backing paper here.

Used the Martha Stewart Doily lace punch on some pink mirror board for a bottom border.

Used some of the left over backing paper for the inside of the card and cut out some card to give space for the greeting.

I have left it blank as I think this card could be used for so many different occassions x

Deacon

Updating my card box for work (what else am I going to do on a week off?).
This little boy is from Bugaboo and I think he looks like a right cheeky monkey!

He is coloured with promarkers (as always).

I have used deliberately clashing backing papers and created some more buttons but using a sparkly paper.

Sentiment is made using some of the sticky words where you sprinkle glitter over (name escapes me at the moment!).

Decorated the inside but the paper was a little thin to use so has creased when going through the epic six machine. Please my flex mat needs replacing!

Biker chick

Tomorrow is my OH's twins birthday and I got OH to chose an image. They are both learning to ride motorbikes at the moment so he immediately chose this Kenny K image for one of them.

I have used promarkers to colour the image and used greys (mainly cool grey 5 but with cool grey 3 for for the highlighted areas) for her outfit and the tyres. I used cool grey 2 for the metal on the bike to try and give it a chrome look. I used glossy accents on the bike to make it all shiny!

I embossed the panels and stuck on some ribbon.

And created some little buttons!

The main backing paper is a freebie from a fab site http://www.computerscrapbook.com/epapersets.html# They have so many gorgeous papers and they are all free! Every crafters favourite word.

Best of British

I have had some Union Jack ribbon for absolutely ages and finally got round to using it (started to use quite a few bits of my old stash lately. How odd!).

Of course, going for a British theme, had to use a mini! Wanted to go for red white and blue backing paper but the ones I had were all a bit American so went for plaid (Burberry anyone?).

Made a couple of little buttons for the corners.

Birthday Bath

Made this card with someone in mind but changed my mind and have made them another card! Anyway, have had this Flippin Men decoupage sheet made up for ages and finally got round to using it.

Took my several goes to cut of the oval correctly, as well as cutting the backing papers correctly!

I used some left over paper that I had from a card I made a few weeks ago and some other left overs for the sentiments.

The inside of the card:

Diamond Dust

Brought most gorgeous tub of Diamond Dust a couple of days ago. It is like little tiny diamond chips.

See how sparkly it is!

A gorgeous sparkly, shiny additional to cards x
