Floral Birthday card

Another commissioned card. This time the theme was florals.
I got some free build a blossoms from Jak Heaths blog and coated with glossy accent and a little glitter.

I cut some flourishes on my epic six and cut the frames and embossed with with a flourish design.

Inside of the card:

Gold Rugby card

I was asked to make this card from a colleague for his dads birthday. He specified the image (a rugby player running towards the goal) and the rest was up to me.

After hours spent trying to find the right image I finally got one and adjusted the colours to make it sepia to fit it with the gold / bronze theme I decided to go with.

I used gold mirror board and matted and layered with brown card. The side panel is embossed and a bronze ribbon wrapped around it.

I printed the sentiment on plain paper and used promarkers to colour it.

Pretty in Pink

Last one for today folks! I think this little girl is very cute! I have coloured her using promarkers (so need to get some fine tips though!). I have given her a tonal effect skirt. Used my xcut dies for the scalloped circles and a flourish die with pink mirror mirror board for the flourishes.
The flowers are from hobby craft and some blog candy I won and I used a pretty pale pink backing paper with a pale pink ribbon.
The box is also handmade and I used the Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch to create the edges and more flourishes stuck on.
I have deliberately not put on a sentiment as I believe that this could be used many different occasions and is currently sitting in my stash box waiting for a new home x

Rock Chick

No posts for a week or so and suddenly loads! To be honest been a bit lazy about updating my blog but though about time I caught up.
I have made this card for OH's granddaughter in mind but it is currently in my stash box.
Image is from Kenny K and I have used red and black card. I embossed the red card and punched some 1/4 inch circles out of red mirror board and used glossy accents on them to make them look like brads.
Stamped out the sentiment and matted it onto red mirror board (deliberately cut at an angle!).

I think the card would be fab for a teenager / tweenager and don't often do cards for that age bracket.

Ode to a Lush!

Wanted to make a card for a female adult that wasn't all cutesy. Image is from bugaboo (as well as the sentiment). I think the papers were from Jak Heath and I used my X Cut nesties for the scalloped circles and a little bit of blue ribbon to make the sentiment look like a rosette.

Forever friends With Love card

Ok, I do seem to be making lots of Forever Friends cards!
I made this to go in my stash box at work but showed my cards to my step mum who snapped this one up (along with loads of others!). I used the X cut nestie dies to cut the scalloped circles and the frame for the peel off.

FF engagement card

A friend of our recently got engaged, big congratulations to Carla and Ben.
Card was made using a forever friend image stuck onto gold mirror board and black card that was embossed. I cut the flourishes in gold mirror board and stuck on black gems.

Forever Friends Red and Black

Used a Forever Friends stamp from the Black and Gold collection coloured with Promarkers. I have used plain card and red mirror board and matted and layered it up.

The buttons were punched using mirror board scraps and I used glossy accents on them. I used a sticky sentiments and covered with red glitter and then covered that with glossy accents and then stick on a little bit of ribbon and a bow.

I used a little stamp on plain A4 paper several times for the insert, masking off where the greeting went.

Box is hand made in plain red card x

Forever Friends Thank You card

Following an amazing night at the Take That concert, I thought it only right to make a little thank you card for our driver who spent about 7 1/2 hours driving us there and back.

I used a Forever Friends stamp from the black and gold collection and the backing paper is from papermania (I think) but it was originally black and white so coloured it pink and coloured the flowers purple.

I added some flower to the corners of the images and used a peel off sentiment.

Bottoms Up!

Quick decoupage card made as a stock card.

Took it in to work and put it in my box and it was snapped up! My colleague decided it was perfect for his brother and brought it before anyone else even had a chance to see it!

Love it when they fly out of the box!

Father day card for OH from his daughter

Made this card for OH daughter to give to him for fathers day. She wanted quite a cheeky card and wanted "old man" in there.
She chose this La Pashe digi stamp and I coloured with Promarkers and used Glossy Accent on the lights and hooter.
Made it as an Easel card and printed out the sentiments. I used burgundy (wanted to use red card but ran out!)

Forever Friend Card to Order

My Best Friend order a birthday card for her friends 30th and I decided to go with a very girly theme!
Stamped image is Forever Friends Black and Gold and I used glitter glue on the bow, tag and cakes.

Used my martha stewart punch for the ribbon in the middle and covered with glitter glue.

Cut out small circles in lilac (image looks brown though) and covered with Glossy accent. Did the same for the 30 "badge".

Weird Science

Was asked to make science themed card for a 16 year old. Accepted order without a second thought and the panic set in! What on earth was I going to do for it?
A trawl through the internet turned up the mad scientist robot image which was perfect!
I then pondered what to use for backing paper and spent about 3 hours looking for something perfect. Finally found the blackboard image with scientific formulas so used that with a yellow and red checked paper.

Typed and printed the sentiment (which I had to replace twice due to spelling mistakes). Image is before I noticed the second mistake!
