Cow Girl

We have a friends birthdya shortly and he is a bit cheeky so a Kenny K image seemed perfect for him.

She is hand coloured with promarkers and I used the blending pen to add some highlights. The backing papers are part of a huge pack I brought some time ago, minds eye I think they are called!

Commissioned Card - Sew Pretty

Another commissioned card. The brief was for a sewing card so used an image from Pink Petticoat.

The buttons, pins and tape measure are from my sewing box (hardly ever touched as I am useless at needlework!).

I used glossy accents on the image and used Tim Holtz distressing tool and a blue ink pad once it had fully dried. Hand drew the stitching around the edge.

Pins stuck in use silicon glue and added a little extra on the edges to make sure they don't some out. Have cleaned it off a bit to make it look a little more presentable!

Threaded some chiffon ribbon through one button and all buttons stuck on with silicon glue.

Commissioned New Home

Another commissioned card. This time for a New Home so have used an MCS image.

Kept it all fairly simply and used plain card for the backing. The cream card is slightly reflective.

Layered two ribbons and made a ribbon to go on.

Ooops! not sure why it's the wrong way round! Used some pearl drops in black to highlight parts of the chair.

18th birthday card

Another commissioned card and the brief was "mad scientist"

Image was found on the internet by the customer and I layered onto textured paper then card.

The backing paper is part of a set I have had for ages.

Stamped 18 on a circle and then used xcut nesting die to mat it.

Buttons made using textured paper and glossy accents.

Commissioned Nephew card

Commissioned card for a friend and the only brief was sporty so went for a La Pashe Framin card.

Letter cut out using xcut alphabet die and then used glitter glue over the frame and lettering.

Flower Easel Card

I recently got the Floriography disc from MCS and couldn't wait to play!

Printed two sheets of backing paper onto which I added the floral design using the MCS pro software. I then resized the Decoupage images to match and pritned then and spent a LONG time cutting them out and carefully laying it up!
I glittered up the edges of the flowers, leaves, butterfly and the swirly bits to make it stand out further.
I cut the stamped the sentiment and cut out using an xuct nesting due and used pearl drops (first try with that too so not perfect).
Stuck in two handmade hat pins under the sentiment.

I didn't take a picture but used ribbon and a handmade bow for the easel rest.

Commissioned Police Card

Received an order for a police card and the image was supplied by the customer.

Chose "simpsons-y" backing papers for the images and had matching blue card for the matting and layering.
Lettering was cut out using XCut alphabet dies in the matching blue card.
Buttons created using the matching blue card and glossy accents and used a ribbon in blue too.

Heat Embossed birthday cake card

Of course new stamps require lots of playing with! This is another stash box card.

Stamp is called Piece of Cake from Papermania and I used a glue pad to stamp and black embossing powder.
Matted onto a piece of glitter card and the backing paper is actually a Christmas one but not an overly Christmas one so able to use from other occassions!

Purple Happy Birthday card

Have made this with someone in mind but is currently in my stash box as not yet decided if I will use this one of a different one yet!

Image and scene is from my Shadow Box set, as well as the scalloped circle. I have used a little glitter on the image as it looked a bit flat.
The backing paper is one that my Auntie sent me ages ago.
Cut the litters using one of my new XCut Alphabet dies and stuck little purple gems on them, a gift from a friend.

FF Red and Black Cupcake

A card made for my stash box!

Image is coloured using promarkers and then glitter glue on the box of cup cakes.
Image then mounted on Black glitter card and then red card.
Backing papers are from Kanban (bit of bargain from hobbycraft).
Stuck on a ribbon to hide the jon in the backing papers and then made a little red ribbon for the corner of the matting.

You Glow Girl

My best friend and work colleague is leaving soon to have a baby so I made this card for everyone in the office to sign.

She's having twins, a boy and a girl so wanted to use Pink and Blue.
Image is Caroline from Kraftin Kimmie, coloured with Promarkers.
Backing is one I have for ages and I cut pink glitter letters with my Alphabet xcut die.
I used  double arches martha stewart ppunch on the blue glitter paper.

Piece of Cake!

A colleague is getting married soon so a card from work was in order.

I decided to go for a vintage theme and used distress inks on the backgrounds. The image is one to build up called piece of cake and stuck on brown gems. I stamped the corner with a paermania stamp and used some old ribbon from a chocolate box!

Baby Girl Card

A friend of ours has just welcomed a new addition to their family and I made this card for them.

Image is Bambino from Sugar Nellie and I used promarkers to colour her in and some polar white flower soft on the bobble on her hat.
I used a martha stewart punch on the matting and the backing papers is some I have had for ages. A few flowers and sentiment were added.
I am told that the card was very gratefully received x

A little bit of Gothic

Got Debbi Moore Twilight Queen disc and couldn't wait to use it.

Hope you like!

Everyones having babies!

OH just found out he is to be a great uncle. We are both over the moon and of course I had to make them a card!

image and sentiment is a digi from Pink Petticoat

Long time no posting!

Have been incredibly neglectful of my blog over the last few months but aiming to rectify that!

So, what do I have for you lovely people? I have a Forever Friends Valentines card that my boss brought for his wife.

Used a Forever Friends stamp from the Black and Gold collection and stamped using a glue pad and then used black melt dust to emboss the image.
Mounted on black glitter card cut with an X Cut Die and then made a rosette using burgundy crepe paper.
The backing paper is from Kanban and I used the wavy edge on the guilotine round the edges.
