Tooe arly for Advent Calander?

I am now the very proud owner of a Silhouette Cameo machine. Yay me!

Have spent the last couple of days getting used to it and playing around and have decided to make a fairly big project. I am making a 3D advent calender for OH.

I have designed some square matchboxes (currently happily cutting on the Cameo) and will be stacking together as an advent calander and putting little treats in each box.

I will uploading pics as I go!

Bond, James Bond

Papercraft Inspirations had some fab Bond Style digis for free and they were perfect for Step Sons birthday card.
I dont know how I got the heat embossing so shiny or how I got the liquid pearls to go sort of oval instead of circle but I am pleased with the effect!

Commissioned Wedding Card

I was asked to make a card a little but last minute for a wedding. Went for nuetral colours for this one.

Cards for my Dad

I think this was made for my dad for Fathers day (told you I was behind!)
I have used the Gorgeous Wellington range for this one and made it as a stepper card, although you can't really see that in the image.
I cut out the letters for Dad in copper glitter card and used Glossy Accent on them.

Comissioned Bookatrix wedding Card

Long time no post! Life kinda got in the way a bit lol.
Will be uploading quite a few as got some catching up to do.
This was a commissioned Wedding Bookatrix Card and the customer requested a photo of the happy couple on it. The colour theme was red so incorporated that.

Congratulations to my best friend

My best friend gave birth yesterday to healthy twins, a boy called Matthew and a girl called Emily. Mum and babies are all doing well and I made these booties with display boxes for them.

Commissioned Shoe Card

A friend ordered a shoe card for her adult daugther birthday and I found digi stamp (but can't remember where) and printed it onto patterened paper. The backing paper is from Hot off the Press

I used X Cut nesting dies for the matting and few little blue pearls.

I made the ribbon and the pearl accent was from Hobbycraft (bridal section)

The sentiment is from a freebie Hot off the Press set.

She absolutely loved it!

Small Selection

A small selection of cards recently made. These have been made for my card box at work and I have been playing with the Jewel Britannia kit I recently got.

Made using freebies in a magazine

OH birthday card from my mum

My mum asked me to make OH a birthday card from her and he is very into the Britannia thing.

The backing paper is from Portobello Road collection, as is the Union Jack.

The car (sorry about it being the wrong way round!) is from one of the MCS discs and it is layered on a background from the same disc. I hand wrote OH's initials and age on the licence plate.

Added a sentiment using the same backing I used on the card, but only used part of it.

A few buttons made with Portobello Road papers, circle punch and glossy accent.

Tulip Birthday Card

Recently got the Tulip and Friends CD and made this card for OH grandaughters birthday.

The backing papers are also from the CD and I added a little glitter to the image.

The sentiment is also from the CD and I made the buttons using a punch and glossy accents.

A pink gingham bow finished it off.

Step daughters 18th card

My step daughter is turning 18 this week (she was a cheeky little 7 year old when I first met her) so a special card was needed.

After a LOT of to-ing and fro-ing about the image to use and several changes of mind, this is what I came up with!

The card is 8 x 8 size and I used brown card to make it. The backing paper is a gorgeous freebie I got with a magazine.

I can't remember where I got the image from! But I coloured it in pinks and black and use black glossy accent on the straps and glittered up the ribbon on the shoe.

Mounted on pink mirror board layered with brown card and embossed a second piece and layered that too. Used Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch to make the border behind and stuck on som hot pink ribbon.

Stamped the number 18 on some brown patterned paper and cut a scalloped circle in hot pink to mount it. Then used glossy accents all over to make a "badge".

Didn't have any brown ribbon so used some white and coloured it with distress ink (using the blender tool) and made into a bow and layered onto a hot pink bow.

Added a few roses to finish it off.

She loved it!

Mothers day card

A card my mummy!

6 x 6 size and the backing paper is part of the Boofle pack.

Image is from a me to you disc and I have put a little glitter on the flowers. Layered up on some blue glitter card.

Used my alphabet dies to cut out the word Mum in blue and pink glitter paper and layered and slightly offset them.

Did the same with the flourish and added some purple pearls (lighter than the image shows).

A few pink roses to finish off!
